After a few months of researching skate build concepts and techniques I have developed what I consider a strong and efficient method of turning cool looking street shoes into roller skates ready for the rink, park or outdoors. With my thoughts now coherent and collected, I invited Jac into the workshop so she could put her own first custom skates together. So, she rocks up with a pair of the most obnoxiously bright colored DCs I have ever seen; blue, yellow and pink….
I explained the process of reinforcing the sole, aligning the plate and drilling holes for the mounting bolts and she got stuck in.
The skates came out really well, they feel stronger than my previous set of skates and the alignment seems all good. Most importantly they have badass style and she’s sure to turn some heads when she goes rolling down the street in these!
